Tento pojem ozna\u010duje \u0161kolu, kter\u00e1 se n\u011bjak\u00fdm zp\u016fsobem odli\u0161uje od standardn\u00ed \u0161koly nap\u0159. svou organizac\u00ed \u0161koln\u00edho \u017eivota, metodami a formami vzd\u011bl\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed. U n\u00e1s je pojem \u201ealternativn\u00ed \u0161kola\u201c \u010dasto pojen se soukrom\u00fdmi \u0161kolami, nemus\u00ed tomu b\u00fdt ale v\u017edy tak. Tyto \u0161koly mohou b\u00fdt jak soukrom\u00e9, ve kter\u00fdch se plat\u00ed \u0161koln\u00e9 za nab\u00edzen\u00e9 slu\u017eby, tak i ve\u0159ejn\u00e9, je\u017e jsou financov\u00e1ny z ve\u0159ejn\u00fdch zdroj\u016f. &#13; &#13; &#13; &#13; Alternativn\u00ed \u0161koly funguj\u00ed na spole\u010dn\u00fdch principech. Kladou d\u016fraz p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm na demokracii \u2013 svobodu a odpov\u011bdnost, humanismus a rovnopr\u00e1vnost ve v\u00fdchov\u011b a vzd\u011bl\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed. V centru d\u011bn\u00ed je zde d\u00edt\u011b, v\u00fdchova je zam\u011b\u0159ena na v\u0161estrann\u00fd rozvoj jeho osobnosti, nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00edm c\u00edlem je v\u0161ak rozvoj aktivity a odpov\u011bdnosti d\u00edt\u011bte. M\u016f\u017eeme mezi n\u011b za\u0159adit klasick\u00e9 alternativn\u00ed \u0161koly podle Marie Montessori, waldorfsk\u00e9 \u0161koly, Daltonsk\u00fd pl\u00e1n aj. \u010di modern\u00ed alternativn\u00ed \u0161koly.
